Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Advanced Body Scan provides its clients with a wide selection of health care screening options in its medical imaging center. These include heart, lung, abdominal aortic, bone density, organ, colonoscopy, and full body scans, with a choice of standard CT systems or the newer EBT process. Unlike most such centers, Advanced Body Scan aims its services less toward diagnostics than toward prevention, seeking to discover potential problems early while they require only minimal treatment.
Advanced Body Scan draws its guidance from its medical director, Dr. Stanley J. Dombek, who possesses nearly three decades of experience in the field. Throughout his career Dr. Dombek has focused particularly on vascular, thoracic, and cardiovascular diseases, especially arthrosclerosis. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and completed residencies at St. Anthony's Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s Parkland Hospital. Certified by the American Board of Surgery, he also affiliates himself with the Oklahoma County Medical Society, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Although Dr. Dombek employs a variety of different scan methods, he concentrates particularly on Electron Beam Tomography (EBT), as this technology offers the least invasive method with the lowest radiation levels. Additional benefits include greater speed and accuracy. The facility remains unique among Oklahoma medical centers for offering EBT scans, placing it on a level with the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, Advanced Body Scan maintains its cutting edge facility at 13900 N. Portland Ave. For more information about the various types of scans the facility offers and a comprehensive price list, visit the website at www.advancedbodyscan.com or call (405) 242-1400.
