About the Hall Family

Meet the Hall's:

Greetings and a heartfelt welcome to the Hall Family. Grace be to you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ...(Gal. 1.3-5). Like the Apostle Paul greeted a region of churches in his time, we wanted to greet all who would similarly appear on this webpage. Our family's work seeks to first be obedient to God's word and simultaneously to help all to come to a better place in life, whether through beauty inside and out, whether healing from mental health distress, or educating others to utilize the skills God has given them to draw out people's own uniqueness that will motivate others to do the same.

My Undergraduate work was at Texas Tech University, and I received a degree in Business Administration, Management Systems. We appeared in West Texas in August of 2008 to start our family, having both grown up in city living environments. My job was the manager at the Chicken Express in Snyder, Texas, and I would commute 3 to 4 days a week, 12-hour shifts. There, I manage 15-30 employees in a revolving environment due to various background situations. My wife, Carmen continue her work of Make-up Artistry for 20+ years and began a small studio in our house. In 2009, we had our son, Noah. Like most beginning marriages affordabiltiy has always been the challenge, and so, we wanted more time with our son, and so I started my own business, training parents for the state of Texas. As prices increased, so did the need for better-paying jobs, and so, Carmen continued her business at the Oak Street Salon, and I went to TruGreen lawncare Service.  After a couple of years and Carmen's miscarriage, we still wanted to help and care for children. We then became houseparents for Hendrick home for children (Note of clarification: Houseparents are typically employees living in a group home or residential facility to care for multiple children on a shift, acting as staff/mentors. Foster parents are licensed caregivers who bring children into their own private homes, usually for temporary care while working toward family reunification.) We enjoyed our time here working with the girls. It was through this experience that Cory desired to become a Marriage and Family Therapist to better understand broken families and the effect they had on children. This is exactly what I became, a Marriage and family therapist who works with children and their families to help invite godly change into the lives he counsels. We moved back to Sweetwater, TX in August of 2016, and I started my private practice with $1000, and since then, with the help of the community and others have grown Hope Unlimited Counsel for Christian Living to levels I had only imagined to be possible. We continue to raise our son, Noah, and Carmen continues to run her own business and build her services to a level she also had only imagined. I am also a preacher at Avenue B Church of Christ, where I am approaching my tenth year of gospel teaching/preaching in Sweetwater, Texas.
